"I saw tears stream down girls' faces as they realized the grace and forgiveness that we have in our Savior, and I saw those tears quickly turn to smilesof unparalleled joy when the campers realized that they had found a new hope and love in Christ. The campers became excited about worship and could not wait to return home to share the experience that they had at camp with all of their friends."
Cody Hall with the Christian band, CURTIS
As a full-time worship leader, Cody Hall has seen his fair share of camps, retreats, and church events. This summer, though, he says he saw something different at FCA camps. "Let me start by saying that the staff and leadership at these camps is top notch. The instructors are very knowledgeable and skilled in their craftand present themselves with a positive attitude, and the FCA staff membershave an amazing affinity for connecting straight to the hearts at the camps."
Hall says he saw the excitement of the student-athletes at the prospect of going back to school to share their newfound joy in Christ. He says he could 'feel the electricity buzzing' through the campers and staff at the FCA camps. He felt at times that the presence of God there was almost tangible and says there was one moment in particular he'll never forget: "We did an acapella chorus. It was in that moment with no instrumentation that Icould hear the voices of 200+ girls singing praises of love to our King. It was like nothing I had ever heard before. I truly felt likeI was standing in front of a choir of angels."
Now, these "angels" are back in school and we are praying that they won't let the fire die! Won't you join FCA in praying for them as they fight battles for their faith? Hall has seen many ministries, but urges you to get involved with FCA. He says, "Do not let the work of God be hindered. Luke 6:38 says, "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The measure you give will be the measure you get back."
He and many others have seen God's work through FCA. Please in prayer for this ministry and do whatever you can to allow it to grow! Now that school has started back, don't let the fire die!
