FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES
Since 1954, FCA has been challenging athletes and coaches at every level to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest interdenominational, school-based, Christian sports ministry in America reaching over 1.5 million people annually. It provides a positive peer group as an alternative to the negative pressures so prevalent in schools today. FCA is also a vehicle for teammates to influence others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to offer a different lifestyle to the worldly ways often found on our campuses and in sports today.

VISION FOR MINISTRY AT USC
Our goal while doing ministry with the athletes and coaches on the campus of the USC is fourfold:

  • First, we aim to simply build high-quality and trusting/loving relationships with any and all student athletes and coaches we come into contact with.

  • Secondly, using these relationships we aim to interject Christian character, truths and knowledge that will be useful for their lives both on and off the playing surface. This is done through Bible studies, team devotions and chapels, discipleship, counseling, life coaching and mentoring.

  • Thirdly, we aim to develop leaders in all the student athletes who can in turn invest in their fellow peers and in the community.

  • Fourth, Over time we aim to assist in academic enrichment, life skills, graduation, job placement, and relationship development so that our student-athletes reach their full potential and assist the overall body of Christ.
